This type of detector continuously samples the air in the protected area to provide the earliest warning of fire, offering, at the same time, a high level of false alarm rejection. The particular design of the smoke entry ports limits the accumulation of dust and provides protection from contamination. This allows the user to extend maintenance periods without limiting the sensitivity. In addition, the external screen provides high protection against insects.
The structure of the optical chamber is fully symmetrical and ensure a good flow of air from all directions and provide intrinsic immunity to ambient light.
The electronic part of the detector is very sophisticated. The performance of the detector is further improved by the integration of a special algorithm, which automatically compensates for the dirtiness of the sensitive chamber, allowing an increased immunity to unwanted alarm conditions while maintaining a consistent level of sensitivity.
Each detector is equipped with two-colored LED (red and green) strategically positioned to ensure a 360 ° visibility.
This detector is suitable for connection to the control panel ADR2A with which it communicates via a custom fully digital protocol. This ensures an exchange of information at high frequency between the control panel and the device providing a quick and safe response. The information exchanged are also related to the quality of communication and the level of dirt inside the device; in addition a check is made for double digital address. It’s possible to connect up to 240 points per loop. These detectors are equipped with isolator against short circuits on the loop.
The control panel is able to automatically detect and identify all points connected to the detection circuits (loops), scanning all possible addresses (1 to 240). All points must be pre-programmed with a unique address, using the appropriate tool CE.ALPU1000.
The base is equipped with a short circuit clip; This clip facilitates the wiring analysis by testing the continuity before installing the detectors. In addition the detector can be locked to its base with a anti-tamper detector lock; it works as a deterrent to intentional removal performed by non authorized personnel.
To verify the correct operation of the detectors, all devices can be tested after installation directly from the PC, with appropriate software, connected to the control panel ADR2A. All the points connected to the loop are cyclically tested so that the users have a complete situation of the firefighting system.
The production of the detectors is carried out by applying a quality control system, which includes a series of rules regarding the construction of all the devices.
The optical addressable detectors are certified by an authorized third party certification body, (LPCB + VDS), in accordance with the standard EN 54-7:2000 + A1: 2002 + A2: 2006, EN 54-17:2005.
