The isolator module is a device designed to provide isolation against short circuits for analog-addressable devices for addressable Lite range.
The isolator module uses a digital protocol that allows exchange of information at high frequency between the control panel and the module itself ensuring a rapid response and secure.
When activated, the isolator module cuts the adjacent sections of the loop where there is the short-circuit; all the devices located in the opposite sections of the loop than the module are not affected and operate normally.
When the short circuit is removed, the module connects the sections of the loop and then the connected devices.
From a practical point of view, the device can be used where a number of Lite detectors are installed on a section of a loop closed at the ends of two isolator modules.
If a short circuit occurs, this section is isolated and the remainder of the loop continues to operate normally.
