The module with a conventional zone is a device that allows an analog loop-addressable to be interfaced to a zone of conventional detection.
The control panel ADR2A sees this device (and all the conventional subsystem) as a single address loop.
The states of conventional zone as normal, open circuit, short circuit and alarm conditions are detected and reported to the control panel module.
The module with a conventional zone can be fed in different ways: either directly from the loop or by an external power supply.
The module is able to monitor its power supply (both external and supplied from the loop) and measure the current of the conventional line, providing the control panel complete control and the state of under- conventional system.
In addition, the module with a conventional zone is equipped with a relay unsupervised dual pole which can be used by the control panel as the output module to, for example, reset some parts of the conventional system.
When one or more devices enters a state of alarm (sensors, ...) or activates (buttons, input modules, ...), the module with a conventional zone indicates this event to ADR2A control panel that will handle the situation appropriately.
In addition to alarm detection, the module supervises the conventional line to check for conditions of short circuit or open circuit, and when they occur, are reported to the ADR2A control panel that will handle the situation appropriately.
It's necessary to assign the desired address to the conventional zone module, using the manual programmer it is possible to select the address from 1 to 240. In addition, an address in the loop must be associated with a single device: for example it is not possible to assign the address "34" to two devices since the control panel would signal the error of. double address.
The module with one conventional zone has a short circuit isolator: the isolator opens automatically when the voltage on the communication line falls below a specific threshold so as to prevent a malfunction of the total loop in case of short circuit or abnormal absorption of current.
When activated, the isolator separates adjacent sections of the loop where the short circuit occurs, all functions of the devices located in opposite sections of the loop connected to the module (and the module itself) remain unchanged and will operate normally.
When the line voltage rises beyond the threshold limit, the module automatically reestablishes the connection to the section of the loop and its isolated devices.
The short circuit and the recovery from the short form are reported from the conventional zone module to the control panel.
